Craig Ruch, formerly a senior trader at Janus Capital Group, starts later this month as an investment-grade portfolio manager at Credit Suisse Asset Management in New York, according to an official at the firm. Ruch was between jobs and could not be reached. He will replace Lee Crabbe, a director and investment-grade portfolio manager, who has been with CSAM since 1998. Crabbe, who is still at the buy-sider, says he is planning to leave but declined further comment.
Ruch is part of a handful of new hires made by CSAM in recent months, including that of Dennis Schaney, who joined from BlackRock Financial Management last year as head of global fixed income. Also joining CSAM of late is Michael Buchanan, head of U.S. credit products, who started at the end of the year. He also comes from Janus.
