Bear Stearns has hired Sonali Das, a credit derivatives marketer at Goldman Sachs in New York, as v.p. in credit derivatives sales. Das, who declined comment, reports to Peter Croncota, senior managing director in New York. Croncota said Das is filling a newly created seat and the firm is "thrilled to have her."
Bear Stearns has been building its credit derivatives presence since Mark Davies joined from Credit Suisse First Boston as global head of credit derivatives last year. Eric Oberg, head of credit derivatives sales and marketing at Goldman in New York, did not return calls enquiring into Das' replacement.
