RBS Greenwich Capital has reportedly nabbed Andrew Kresse, managing director and sales manager for credit derivatives and structured credit products, from Barclays Capital in New York. Kresse could not be reached and his exact role at the firm could not be determined. Calls to RBS were referred to Alan Katz, spokesman at Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek Communications in New York, who declined comment.
The hire is the latest in a buildup in the firm's credit derivatives division. Other recent hires include Dylan Brooks, a credit derivatives trader at Deutsche Bank, who joined as managing director (DW, 7/23). In addition, Sanjeev Gupta, former global head of credit derivatives at Credit Suisse First Boston in London, and Romita Shetty, former head of structured credit at JPMorgan, joined last month (DW, 7/18). Andrew Weber, a credit structurer at Deutsche Bank, also recently moved to the firm (DW, 7/4).
Karina Byrne, spokeswoman at Barclays in New York, did not return calls regarding Kresse's replacement.
