RBS Lands Tokyo Credit Pros

The Royal Bank of Scotland has expanded its Japanese credit derivatives desk with the hire of a pair of veterans.

The Royal Bank of Scotland has expanded its Japanese credit derivatives desk with the hire of a pair of veterans. Kazue Takagaki, director in global credit trading at Deutsche Bank in Tokyo, has joined as head of exotic credit derivatives, and Yukio Miyamae, director at Credit Suisse First Boston in Tokyo, has joined as head of credit and equity structuring, according to Murray Parker, spokesman in London.

The new hires join a wave of additions to RBS' credit derivatives business in Asia this year (DW, 4/29). Takagaki now reports to Trevor Vail, Asian head of credit trading and structuring in Tokyo and Lee Knight, Asian head of fixed income in Hong Kong, and Miyamae also reports to Vail. Knight and Vail did not respond to messages by press time.
