Morgan Stanley has hired Zvi Gillon, v.p. in structured credit derivatives trading at Merrill Lynch in New York, as executive director in structured credit trading, focusing on asset-backed securities correlation trading and index tranching.
Gillion resigned Tuesday but will remain at Merrill through Thursday. He arrives at Morgan Stanley next month and will report to Stephen D'Antonio, head of securitized products trading, who said Gillon is an addition to the group. Reached on his cell, Gillon declined comment.
At Merrill, he reported to Ronnie Roy, co-head of global structured credit trading, and Michael Vasseghi, head of structured credit sales. Neither returned messages and Gillon's replacement could not immediately be determined.
