Nord Stream phase II signs, first delivery due
It is one of the most ambitious energy projects ever undertaken in Europe, linking Russian gas with western European consumers via two pipelines under the Baltic Sea. But the Nord Stream gas pipeline, financing for which is due to be signed on Friday, almost didn’t happen, after it was nearly sunk by the banking crisis in 2009.
