India Bans Three Banks From Bond Prop Trading
The Reserve Bank of India has barred Standard Chartered, Société Générale and Crédit Agricole from proprietary trading of government bonds for six months following an investigation into their trading of the instruments at off-market prices to hide losses, a technique known as circular trading.
