I Squared $900m LBO loan finds overwhelming demand

I Squared Capital’s $900m-equivalent Hong Kong dollar loan backing its acquisition of Hutchison Global Communications (HGC) pulled in more than 20 banks during senior syndication, with more expected to join before the deal wraps up this week.

The financing has done "exceptionally well", said a banker at one of the leads. 

The commitments received so far in senior come on top of what the three original mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners — Crédit Agricole, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank — chipped in.
