SBI Life paves way for debut in India

SBI Life Insurance Co has filed a preliminary prospectus for its $900m IPO, which will see its two biggest shareholders sell down their stakes.

The draft red herring prospectus submitted to the Securities and Exchange Board of India on Monday said the share sale will consist of 120m secondary shares from State Bank of India and BNP Paribas Cardif, which are offering 80m and 40m, respectively.
