Markit Reacts To Fannie, Freddie Rescue

Markit has announced changes to its Markit CDX indices and Markit RED as a result of the government rescue of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Both government-sponsored entities have been removed from the indices, said Markit, “to reduce legal an operational risk in the credit derivative market.”
