Legendary investor Warren Buffett believes he will eventually make money for Berkshire Hathaway on his long-term derivative contracts, after reporting losses of USD7.5 billion in derivatives and related investments in 2008. Berkshire Hathaway has not realized all the losses yet because some of the derivative contracts are outstanding.
