MegaFon in $2bn bridge loan

A special purpose vehicle of Russia’s third largest mobile operator, MegaFon, has obtained a $2bn bridge loan. Barclays, BNP Paribas and Citi are providing the short term facility to MegaFon Finance.

The loan is for six months, with the option to extend by another six, according to a regulatory filing.

MegaFon last came to the market in September 2011 for a Finnvera-led €105m facility. The loan paid 192bp over Euribor, according to Dealogic.
