Pan American beats Arg gloom to price $300m

Oil and gas producer Pan American Energy sold $300m of six year bonds on Tuesday in the first international new issue from an Argentine borrower since July 2019, surprising some market participants who had been sceptical about its chances.

Pan American has had held investor calls since April 16, ahead of a proposed senior secured six year amortising bond that it wanted to use to fund a tender offer for its $166m 7.875% May 2021s and to finance production projects.
