Green, sustainability-linked loans gain traction in Asia

A consortium led by Malaysia’s TTL Energy and Engie Asia Pacific, the regional arm of French energy firm Engie, has raised a RM342m ($84m) green loan to support the development of a solar plant in Malaysia.

BNP Paribas, MUFG Bank (Malaysia) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp provided the facility, which had a tenor of 19 years. MUFG was the green structuring adviser, according to a press release.
