Ex-UBS head Vereker joins JP Morgan

JP Morgan has hired William Vereker, former global co-head of investment banking at UBS and business envoy to former UK prime minister Theresa May, to be vice-chairman for investment banking in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

He starts on Monday, February 3, reporting to Vis Raghavan, chief executive of EMEA. He will focus on client relationships and bring in business for the firm but without taking charge of any part of the bank himself. Vereker will not be more senior to existing regional heads  ...
