UK portion of US PP market swells to over a fifth

The proportion of overall issuance in US private placements sold by UK borrowers may have risen to over 20% for the first time in years.

The total volume of UK issuance of US PPs in 2018 was roughly $15.1bn, the highest size in at least the last five years, according to Barclays data. As a proportion, this accounts for roughly 21% of 2018’s overall volume.
