Kartesia plants unitranche for Fertiberia

Investment house Kartesia has provided a unitranche loan for Spanish fertiliser maker Fertiberia to replace part of its debt, as this type of lending becomes more popular in Europe.

Fertiberia’s new €75m unitranche loan will complement an existing, amortising senior tranche of debt that will rank pari passu, said a source close to the deal. The Spanish company is repaying all its syndicated loans with the new facility.
