Norilsk Nickel signs $2.5bn loan, biggest and tightest from Russia this year

Norilsk Nickel, the Russian nickel and palladium producer, has signed a $2.5bn unsecured syndicated loan, the largest facility from Russia this year.

The loan was priced at 150bp over one month Libor, one of the lowest rates achieved by a Russian company since 2008, according to the company. Pricing at this level is reminiscent of margins paid by banks before sanctions were put in place in 2014.
