Credit Suisse First Boston has hired Mychal Harrison, associate at Goldman Sachs, as v.p. in high-yield trading. Harrison reports to Phil Desantis, head of high-yield trading, who said the hire essentially replaces Rod Dalinka, who retired earlier this year. Desantis noted the hire was the group's first in years. Harrison declined comment. In addition to Dalinka, CSFB also recently lost Jeff Bersh, managing director and head of distressed trading, who quit the firm to start a hedge fund (BW, 3/7). Michael DuVally, spokesman for Goldman, declined comment.
