Crédit Agricole Indosuez has restructured its Korean fixed income and debt capital markets operation by bringing aboard Gin Lee, head of foreign exchange and short-term derivatives marketing at BNP Paribas in Seoul, in a new role as head of sales and deputy treasurer. The move adds a layer of management, so that the debt capital markets origination and fixed-income and derivative sales report to Lee. Previously the teams reported directly to Y.J. Lee, treasurer in Seoul. Gin Lee reports to Lee, who was on vacation and could not be reached.
Gin Lee's colleagues, J.S. Kim, fixed-income marketer at BNP in Seoul, has also joined as a fixed-income marketer in Seoul in the financial institution and corporate sales group and Sammy Kim, fixed-income marketer at BNP in Hong Kong, has joined as a director and fixed-income marketer based in Hong Kong, covering the Korean offshore market. Lee said he will also look to hire two originators for the debt capital markets team.
J.S. Kim said that he now markets fixed-income products and credit derivatives to onshore clients, declining further comment. Sammy Kim said that he joined to establish CAI's offshore Korean marketing business for non-won products. He will likely hire a junior marketer.
At BNP, Lee reported to Ligia Torres, global head of fx sales in London. Torres did not return calls.
