David Mitchell, an equity derivatives structurer at Wachovia Securities in New York, has jumped to Deutsche Bank for a similar role. Andrea Minetti, managing director and head of equity structured products for the Americas at Deutsche Bank in New York, said Mitchell is filling a newly created seat within the firm, which is looking to expand its equity structuring expertise in the country. Mitchell did not return calls.
Issuance of structured products in the U.S. has picked up, making now a good time to grow the business, explained Minetti. Deutsche Bank plans to add another two or three structurers to its U.S. team. Minetti transferred from the firm's London office at the beginning of the year to grow the business.
Eric Glicksman, head of equity structured products at Wachovia, declined comment.
