Deutsche Bank's Ken Wong, senior equity derivatives trader in Hong Kong and a veteran in the local market, is joining Morgan Stanley in a similar role. Officials at Morgan Stanley said Wong starts this week and reports to Fabrizio Gallo, head of the institutional equity division in Hong Kong. Gallo did not respond to messages. "Here's a story of 'local boy does good'," said an equity head at a rival firm, noting that Wong had worked his way up in Hong Kong to become a respected and prominent trader.
Ricardo Honegger, Asian and Japanese head of global equity derivatives at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, did not return calls.
