Calyon has hired Sean Murphy, foreign exchange sales at National Australia Bank in Sydney, in a similar role in Hong Kong. Murphy confirmed the move, but declined further comment. Since finalizing the integration of Crédit Agricole Indosuez and Crédit Lyonnais earlier this year, Calyon has been building up its fx, fixed income and equity derivatives presence in the Asian region (DW, 9/17). Murphy now reports to Frédéric Truchot, manager in the interest rate, currency and commodities group in Hong Kong. Truchot was traveling and could not be reached.
