Merrill Lynch won a loan auctioned off by Franklin Templeton Wednesday with a winning bid of 101 3/4. The $475 million portfolio only went out to four lenders and consisted of over 200 tranches of very liquid names. Among the tranches included a $10 million piece of Georgia Pacific, a $12 million piece of Cablevision and $11 million of HCA's term loan. A call to a Merrill Lynch banker and a Franklin Templeton investor was not immediately returned.
