Citadel Investment Group, a U.S.-based hedge fund, has reportedly hired Richard Jackson, a senior interest rate options trader at JPMorgan in London. Jackson could not be reached, but a colleague confirmed he was heading to Citadel. Sarah Oppler, spokeswoman for JPMorgan, also confirmed the move and said he left with an excellent profit and loss record. Jackson reported to Ashley Bacon, European head of rates at JPMorgan, who did not return calls. Jackson has not been replaced and traders on his desk are covering his duties.
Kathryn Beiser, spokeswoman for Citadel at Burson-Marsteller in Chicago, declined comment.
