Sterling show rolls on as arbitrage opening outshines euro deals
Sterling bond bankers had more reasons to be happy this week as £750m of issuance from the European Investment Bank and the Swedish Export Credit Corporation propelled issuance in the currency to its best levels since 2007. There are signs that sterling’s strength could linger through the year, with some issuers that returned to the currency in January already mulling more deals.
