Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein has hired two Gen Re Securities pros to set up a collateralized debt obligation presence in the U.S. Kevin Stocklin and Robert Wolf, structurers at Gen Re, have joined as a director and vice president respectively, according to Jeremy Vice, co-head of CDOs in London.
Vice said it made the hires because it has a healthy pipeline of U.S. CDOs and wants to be able to service clients from within that timezone. He added the firm plans to hire more structured credit pros globally, but declined to elaborate.
Stocklin and Wolf will report to Vice and Darren Smith, the other co-head. The General Re Corporation announced its plans to close Gen Re Securities in late January.
