Wis. Schools Sue Banks Over Derivatives
St. Louis-based Stifel Financial Corp. and Royal Bank of Canada have been sued by five Wisconsin school districts, which claim the banks sold them collateralized debt obligations and a credit default swap that caused them to lose 75% of their investment.
