HK Moves On Currency Peg
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority purchased a total of HKD5.5 billion (USD750 million) in U.S. currency in three interventions in less than two hours on Monday as the Hong Kong dollar repeatedly hit the upper limit of its currency peg in the foreign exchange market.
