Anil Babbar, the former Americas head of fund derivatives at Morgan Stanley, and Andrey Krakovsky, the former head of emerging markets structured credit trading also at Morgan Stanley, were in the process of launching Tacticus Opportunity Fund, a long/short credit fund focusing on dislocations in the asset-backed securities market. [In April, both founders were preparing a follow-up fund, the Tacticus Horton Point TALF Opportunity Fund, which is long/short ABS, residential mortgage-backed securities and commercial mortgaged-backed securities, with an emphasis on hedging (DW Online, 4/24).
