Elton James, a managing director in equity derivatives trading from Lehman Brothers in London, was tipped to join Barclays Capital. [He left two weeks ago--almost exactly a year after he started at the firm. Some City headhunters note he was a high performing trader at Lehman and that they expect him to surface at another U.S. firm soon. James could not be reached for comment on his departure or his destination.]
