Banks Sue Portuguese Firms Over Derivatives Contracts

JPMorgan Chase and Banco Santander have countersued state-owned Portuguese companies to enforce EUR455 million (USD584 million) in derivatives contracts, two months after the Portuguese government said it would sue the banks for failing to renegotiate the contracts.
