Merrill Lynch has transferred Duncan Cameron, a senior equity index trader from Tokyo, to its London equity index trading group. Market buzz is that Cameron may be named head of index trading, replacing managing director Andrew Song, who left late last year. Cameron declined comment and Merrill press representatives, did not respond to a message by press time.
Song joined Merrill from Goldman Sachs two years ago (DW, 7/4/04) with two colleagues, analyst Mike Ebert and trader Daniel Cangemi, who remain at Merrill. Song could not be reached for comment and it could not be determined if he is headed to another firm.
