Hard red wheat drives record open interest

Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX), the agricultural product cash and derivatives exchange, achieved record open interest on the back of wheat price rises this week.

The MGEX hit record open interest of 104,740 contracts on Monday. That level marginally surpassed the exchange’s previous record, from July 7, of 104,175 contracts.
