Croatia fin min accused of Agrokor conflict

The Social Democratic Party of Croatia filed a motion in parliament on Thursday to depose the minister of finance, Zdravko Marić, alleging a conflict of interest with decisions related to the defaulting food company Agrokor, Croatia's largest private company.

Before his appointment as minister of finance in 2016, Marić worked at Agrokor. According to the party, he was executive director of strategy and capital at Agrokor for four years. His responsibilities were related to international finance, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions.
