Hong Kong extends curve with 10yr sukuk

The Hong Kong government stretched its Islamic finance benchmark and ambitions on Tuesday, securing a $1bn 10 year deal with the first dollar sovereign sukuk of the year.

Hong Kong's decision to go with a 10 year tenor this time around follows two five year sukuk in the past. And the move takes the sovereign further in establishing itself as one of the pioneers in the sukuk market both in Asia and globally.
