EMERGING markets investors were this week given their first look at a new Asian sovereign borrower after Sri Lanka announced its debut international bond issue on Monday. Sri Lanka, which has mandated Barclays Capital, HSBC and JP Morgan to arrange the deal, has completed the Asian leg of its roadshow and was due to meet potential investors in London yesterday (Thursday) and in the US over the weekend.
