The Province of Quebec this week issued its first trade in Australian dollars since 2006. The A$225m 10 year deal followed the Province of Ontario’s A$450m tap of its 2020s this June. Quebec was able to capitalise on investors’ desire for new names in the sector, as well as their increasing acceptance of weaker credit ratings.
