  • Right Lane, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chinese conglomerate Legend Holdings, has paid a higher margin than previously for a $300m-equivalent dual currency borrowing. It is the latest in a series of Chinese and Hong Kong companies that have hiked margins on their return to the loan market this year.
  • Two numbers stood out in Natixis’ fourth quarter results: the €259m loss from Asian equity derivatives, and the €249m of performance fees generated by its asset and wealth management business.

  • Stéphane Morin will step up from his current job as global head of compliance at Natixis in order to become deputy CEO for the Americas corporate and investment banking division. And he will report to Olivier Delay, announced as the new CEO of that department earlier this year.
  • Egypt is revamping its capital markets presence, lining up a debut in the green bond market, a first deal in an Asian currency, and dollar and euro benchmarks all by the end of its fiscal year in June.
