Gulf investors reacted positively to news on Wednesday (November 30) that Dubai-based mortgage company Tamweel could soon be in the market with its first new issue since 2008. The deal will be guaranteed by its higher rated majority owner, Dubai Islamic Bank and allow Tamweel to pay down looming maturities as well as fund new mortgage lending business.

Dubai Islamic Bank and its majority owned subsidiary Tamweel said on Wednesday that they will conduct a series of fixed income investor meetings in Asia, United Arab Emirates and Europe. These will be arranged by Citi, Standard Chartered and DIB itself, with the schedule still to be announced.
