Manama, Bahrain – 28 May 2012 – The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the monthly issue of the Sukuk Al-Salam Islamic securities for the BD 18 million issue, which carries a maturity of 91 days, has been oversubscribed by 178%.

Indonesia's Bank Muamalat has said it is on course with its plans to issue Rp800bn ($84.8m) of sukuk in the second half of June. The bank is targeting a profit rate of around 9% for the notes.

Gulf International Bank (GIB) has established a MR3.5bn ($1.11bn) sukuk al-wakalah (agency) medium-term note programme in Malaysia.
