The quasi-sovereign issue by the state development bank is expected to set a benchmark for Kazakh sukuk, opening the way for corporate Islamic bonds to be placed in future.

Horizon Terminals has agreed a $100m dual tranche Islamic loan with Emirates NBD, Noor Islamic Bank and Standard Chartered. The 10-year term facility will be denominated in both dollars and UAE dirhims.
