Four banks win EDF rights issue as Brexit raises Hinkley questions

Electricité de France has named four banks to lead its €4bn rights issue, of which €3bn will be bought by the French government.

BNP Paribas, HSBC, JP Morgan and Société Générale will be global coordinators on the deal, which is expected to come to market in the autumn.

An alternative window would be the first quarter of 2017, but EDF is thought to be keen to get on with the deal.
