Cap markets drives RBC to share highs
Record performance in RBC’s capital markets business helped the bank to rack up better than expected profits last week, taking its shares to all time highs.
Capital markets net income was at C$641m ($590m), its best
performance ever, up 66% on the same period the year before. The performance
was primarily driven by stronger equity and debt markets and the results of an
increasingly client focused strategy, the bank said.
