Bank of England to mull variable leverage ratio
The Bank of England’s review of rules on UK banks' leverage ratios will consider a variable ratio that can be used counter-cyclically, alongside risk-weighted standards.
The BOE's Financial Policy Committee will report by November on how the UK leverage ratio should work, going beyond the Basel III standards on leverage.
