Nomura Securities is considering establishing an onshore fixed income derivatives trading desk. The move follows rival houses such as Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley (DW, 10/22). Officials said Nomura is likely to apply for a license early next year if it decides to go ahead with the plan.
