Calyon is planning to add its name to the list of market makers for the Dow Jones iTraxx Asia index in the coming weeks. "We're getting ready to become a market maker," said an official. The move follows the merger of Crédit Lyonnais and Crédit Agricole Indosuez earlier this year. Adam Durran, credit derivatives trader in Tokyo, runs the desk. He declined comment.
