UBS last week named co-heads to manage its Japanese equity business: Andrew Hunter, global head of Japanese equity distribution, and Taichi Takahashi, head of Japanese equity trading. The equities group comprises cash and equity derivatives, prime brokerage and research.
The duo replace Richard Samuelson, head of Japan equities in Tokyo, who will assume a new position within the firm which is still being ironed out, according to Jackie Kestenbaum, spokeswoman in Tokyo. The reason for the reshuffle could not be determined.
