CDS Notional Outstanding Amount Nearly Doubles

The notional amount outstanding of credit-default swaps grew 81% last year, according to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association’s Year-End 2007 Market Survey. CDS notional outstanding was USD62.2 trillion at year-end, up 37% on mid-year.
