Afreximbank switches from club to syndication

Multilateral financial institution African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has launched syndication of its $400m two year refinancing.

BTMU, Commerzbank, HSBC, Intesa Sanpaolo, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Standard Bank, Standard Chartered and WestLB are bookrunners.

The borrower will pay a margin of 150bp for the syndicated loan. It is refinancing a $140m and Eu74.5m six month syndicated loan. The facility had a six month extension option ...
